Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh said the Jask terminal and the Goreh-Jask oil pipeline would be fully operational by March 2022.<\/p>\n

Addressing a virtual ceremony to officially launch the project in the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Thursday, Mr. Zangeneh said the project is currently operating at\u00a0300,000 b\/d of crude oil transfer capacity which will reach 400,000 barrels\/day by October, 500,000 b\/d by December, 750,000 b\/d by January and one million barrels per day by March 2022.<\/p>\n

Zangeneh stressed that in all parts of the Goreh-Jask pipeline project, all the requirements of national and international standards, including IPS, API and ASME standards, had been met, adding: “This project is a unique manifestation of smashing the sanctions and relying on domestic capabilities.”<\/p>\n

Zangeneh further expressed optimism that this project would be the most basic project for the economic development of Makran region and the key to economic development of the region, adding: \u201cThe permits to implement 3 refinery projects with a capacity of 900,000 barrels of crude oil per day in this region have been issued and these plants are being built. Furthermore, a BOT project to build 10-million-barrel\u00a0crude-oil-storage tanks with an investment of more than $230 million by the private sector is under way in the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
